Pregnant with MS. RESPONSES: AS for keeping up with your children there are give and takes. My house is not always as clean as it should be and we might not always have gourmet dinners but you do the best we can. Your kids will understand if mommy is tired or needs to rest. Also your husband will help. DEB: I think your physician can best answer your question regarding medication and pregnancy. As for keeping up with the kids - the key is to prioritize and delegate. A newborn can be very draining as you're usually sleep deprived. This is the time to call on a family member or friend to help you regularly with the baby, even if they just baby-sit for a couple of hours in the afternoon so you can rest. Toddlers require even more attention and, again ask for help. As children get older they can take on some responsibilities for you and ease your load. You may want to re-think working outside of the home once you have children as trying to hold down a full time job and be a mommy is taxing enough without MS! Best of luck to you! |
